WHAT DO I BRING TO THE TABLE?
1. A strong foundation in User-Centered Design principles.
I have consistently excelled in courses focused on Human-Computer Interaction and User-Centered Design, showcasing both a solid understanding and a natural aptitude for the subject. I prioritize creating intuitive task flows and features that reduce user friction and minimize frustration.
2. Effective collaboration and communication skills.
I thrive in team settings and actively seek input from others to achieve the best possible outcomes. Throughout my academic projects, I’ve worked closely with peers who all contributed meaningfully toward shared goals. Early design courses helped me grow as a team member, and I’ve further strengthened my interpersonal skills by taking additional communication courses beyond the standard requirements. One standout was a Human Resources course, where I learned valuable strategies for managing high-stress, conflict-prone situations through de-escalation techniques.
3. The ability to apply constraints and define project scope effectively.
While ambition is important, I understand the value of focusing on achievable, well-defined goals. Overreaching can lead to feature creep or incomplete outcomes. For example, in my UX 1 course, I refined the scope of my interview and sampling methodology to ensure timely and thorough project completion.
